Course overview

Responsible computer science practice requires a strong understanding of ethics, law, and professional integrity. This course examines key issues including intellectual property, data access and use, GDPR, internet regulation, privacy and confidentiality, software licensing, AI ethics, and ethical considerations in research and software development. Participants will develop practical approaches to identifying ethical and legal risks, evaluating alternative decisions, and applying ethical analysis to real-world challenges in computer science.
