Course overview
The course focuses on understanding what the mechanisms and challenges are to make the streets in your neighbourhood more liveable and vibrant. This six-week course is a mix of academic and practical insights on the topic of transition management and street experiments. At the end of the course, you will be able to write an actionable plan for change which will be peer-reviewed.
This online course is supported by the EIT Urban Mobility’s Competence Hub. EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) that has been working since January 2019 to encourage positive changes in the way people move around cities in order to make them more sustainable and liveable places.
What you will learn:
- The street as a space for experimentation and transitioning.
- Tactical urbanism for effective streetscape change.
- Citizen activism’s relationship with bureaucratic structures.
