This course introduces the main privacy concerns associated with data collection and explores a range of privacy-enhancing technologies designed to reduce exposure while enabling useful data processing. From anonymisation and differential privacy to secure multiparty computation, homomorphic encryption, Signal, and Tor, learners will gain a practical understanding of key techniques, their benefits and limitations, and when they can be applied.
