Course overview

Hands-on integration of collaborative robotics and machine vision is at the core of this course, where a Universal Robots UR5e cobot is combined with a Robotiq Wrist Camera to enable intelligent pick-and-place operations. The course walks through the complete setup, from mounting and calibrating the vision system to programming the cobot using Polyscope, showing how robots can perceive their environment and safely collaborate with humans in dynamic manufacturing settings.

What you will learn:

  • Key components of the UR5e cobot and how they interact in pick-and-place applications.
  • Integration of a Robotiq Wrist Camera to locate and analyze objects in real time.
  • Programming collaborative robots using the UR Polyscope interface.
  • Executing vision-guided pick-and-place tasks for objects of varying shapes and sizes.
