How can Europe accelerate progress toward closing the gender gap in the digital sector?
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, the high-level conference Women in Digital will bring together European leaders, policymakers, and digital-sector stakeholders to advance concrete actions that support greater participation of girls and women in ICT.
Join the International Women’s Day 2026 – Women in Digital event on 9 March 2026 in Brussels, with live streaming available across Europe. Inspired by the theme “Give to Gain,” the conference will focus on how present-day commitments and measurable actions can build a more inclusive, skilled, and competitive digital Europe.
With the participation of Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen and Member of the European Parliament Elena Sancho Murillo, discussions will address the structural barriers that continue to limit women’s representation in digital fields and the policy measures needed to overcome them.
The outcomes of the event will contribute to a renewed Women in Digital Declaration, building on the 2019 Ministerial Declaration and reinforcing the European Commission’s Digital Decade objectives.
